Pelvic Organ Prolapse
A prolapse happens when the pelvic muscles and tissues can no longer support these organs because the muscles and tissues are weak or damaged. This can lead to symptoms such as a feeling of heaviness in your vagina, especially when standing, or feeling a bulge when you wipe. Many women are embarrassed to talk to their doctor about their symptoms—or think that their symptoms are normal—however, pelvic floor physical therapy can improve these symptoms and work as a preventative measure as well.
Types of Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Pessary Fittings
A pessary fitting is a non-surgical option used to support pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence.
A pessary is a small, flexible support placed inside the vaginal canal to help lift and support pelvic organs. During your visit, we carefully assess sizing and comfort to find the right fit for your body and your symptoms. The goal is a pessary that feels supportive, stays in place with movement, and allows you to go about daily activities comfortably. We take time to educate you on use, care, and management so you feel confident and in control. Many people find a pessary to be an effective way to reduce pressure, leakage, or heaviness without surgery.
